Lunch might be over when the distant orange-pink mountains change their hue. But that doesn't mean you have to leave.

Take a seat overlooking the Rickety Bridge vineyards. Sip a glassful of crisp estate wine and enjoy a delicious lunch while drinking in the splendour of the magnificent surroundings. Every creation from our team of talented chefs is given extra zest by the striking beauty of the setting and stunning views of the Franschhoek mountains.

Rickety Bridge is an enchanting Franschhoek wine estate that earns its place in the Cape's cuisine capital. Franschhoek is home to some of the best restaurants in South Africa.

The Restaurant in the Vines has made way for Paulina’s, named in honour of the original owner of the property in 1797, Paulina de Villiers.

In keeping with current culinary trends, the restaurant features a variety of half and full portions of its exciting bistro-style menu, allowing diners the opportunity to sample and share dishes.

The half portions are larger than a conventional tapas serving, so ideal for sharing, or having as a starter. Some of the dishes are served as main portions only.

Paulina’s is open for lunch seven days a week.

The restaurant spills out from a cosy thatched area onto decks with views over the vineyards and mountains. Umbrellas and a Bedouin tent provide cover and shade.

With Christmas almost upon us, its time to start looking for the best place to enjoy an unforgettable luncheon that is fit for Kings and Queens alike, Paulina's is offering you a magical feast with all your favourite food that will make Christmas Lunch a day to remember. The menu for this great day is as follow:                                          

Christmas Menu 2017

Starters (Buffet station)

                                                              Cold fish selection (poached salmon, rollmops, peppered mackerel)
                                                          Cold meat selection (pickled tongue, corned beef, and rare roast sirloin)
                                                                   Classic Greek salad (feta, olives, cucumber, carrots, red onion)
                                                                    Brandy Chicken and herb liver pate with lavash and croutons
                                                                           Selection of homemade bread's, rolls and Focaccia
                                                                       Caesar salad with sundried tomatoes and orange segments
                                                                                                          Salmon terrine

                                                                      Sorbet will then be served to guest to cleanse the pallet

                                                            Smoked pork shank with an apple chutney and crispy crackling
                                                                          Lamb shank with a Rickety Bridge Shiraz Jus
                                                                               Streaky bacon wrapped turkey breast
                                                                                 Cinnamon dusted Pumpkin fritters
                                                                                                Potato croquettes
                                                                                                Roasted potatoes
                                                             Rustic grilled Garden vegetables grilled Brussel sprouts,                                                                                                                                                    Roasted Baby beetroot, roasted baby carrots,                                                                                                                                                               Grilled baby fennel and roasted baby onions

                                   The mains will be platters that will be placed on the table and will feed 4 people at a time,                                                                                                               the guests will able to ask for a refill platter if need required.
